Southern Oregon Weather and Marine Report
Report time: June 23, 2026, 2:46 PM PDT
Today along the southern Oregon coastal waters, NOAA is calling for strong north winds and rough conditions, with seas generally building into the 6 to 10 foot range and a mix of short-period wind waves and northwest swell. The marine forecast for the Cape Blanco to Point St. George zone shows northwest swell around 7 feet at 6 to 9 seconds, with a smaller southwest swell around 2 to 3 feet at 14 to 15 seconds, so the average wave size near the coast is running about 5 to 7 feet, with larger sets possible in exposed spots.
Weather and sea state remain hazardous for small craft, and patchy fog may reduce visibility at times. Winds are forecast from the north at 20 to 30 knots with higher gusts, which will keep the ocean choppy and steep through the day and into tonight.
For tides at nearby Charleston, NOAA tide predictions show a low tide at 2:39 AM near 1.24 feet, a high tide at 7:38 AM near 4.74 feet, another low tide at 2:10 PM near 0.97 feet, and an evening high tide at 8:17 PM near 6.71 feet.
In summary, expect windy, messy surf with a dominant northwest swell, moderate average wave size, and rough marine conditions across the southern Oregon coast.
